CADET BAND

Students in this band will continue to focus on the fundamentals of performance, such as developing a characteristic tone, rhythm and counting, music reading ability, interpretation skills, and overall musicality. This ensemble performs at the Stallion Spectacular, Winter Concert, MSBOA Band and Orchestra Festival, and Spring Concert. Members are highly encouraged to participate in District Solo and Ensemble and take Private Lessons.  This band is by audition only.  Incoming 9th grade students do not need to audition.  By successfully completing 8th grade band, they will qualify to be in this class.  All 9th grade band students will be placed into Cadet Band.
