Anthony V. Imbrunone

Sterling Heights High School

 

Anthony V. Imbrunone has served as the Director of Bands at Sterling Heights High School since the 2009-2010 school year.  He is the Director of the Stallion Marching Band, Jazz Band, Cadet Band, Concert Band, and Symphonic Band.  Under Mr. Imbrunone’s direction, the Sterling Heights High School Band has consistently scored high ratings at all Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association Festivals and have qualified for M.S.B.O.A. State Band and Orchestra Festival every year.  Mr. Imbrunone holds memberships in Phi Mu Alpha Sinphonia (professional music fraternity), and Warren Education Association. Mr. Imbrunone is also an active member of Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association.

Mr. Imbrunone attended the University of Michigan by earning an Evans Scholarship, a four-year, full tuition and housing scholarship. He graduated in 2000 with a Bachelors of General Studies degree where he focused on music and psychology. During his time at Michigan, he was a member of the Michigan Marching Band and performed with the band during all home games, traveled with the band to Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Northwestern, the 1998 Rose Bowl, 1999 Citrus Bowl, and the 2000 Orange Bowl. He continued his education at Eastern Michigan University earning his teacher certification in music education in 2004. At Eastern, he was a member of the Symphonic Band, under the direction of Scott Boerma. In December of 2008, Mr. Imbrunone earned his Masters in Education at Oakland University.

Mr. Imbrunone’s career is complete through the continuous support of his family and friends. Without them, none of this would be possible.
